"Insolence is the deepest prayer for our Japanese friends and families."
Project Konflic‚”
About Project Konflict
Insolence conveyed the message of world peace through the previous album, Audio War. During the Japan PR tour for Audio War, Insolence visited Nagasaki Atomic Bomb museum. Insolence stood in front of the pictures with tears. This incident triggered Insolence to work on their new song "Beat Not Bombs" collaboration with Takuma, !0-FEET, one of the most popular punk bands in Japan.
Now Insolence created a new album, Project Konflict. This is the most political album Insolence ever made. The concept goes back to Martin Luther Kings Jr. who was an American clergyman, activist, and prominent leader in the African American civil rights movement. He is best known for being an iconic figure in the advancement of civil rights in the United States and around the world, using nonviolent methods following the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.
Insolence perceives current society as non action world against wars and prejudice compare to 60s' civil rights movement and 70s' anti war activities during the Vietnam war. Insolence hopes through this Project Konflict, they convey their message to the young people, the next generation of our society and create kids who are conscious of war and prejudice and take actions.
This album was produced by Insolence and Michael Rosen who is a well known as a metal producers. He involved with producing albums such as Rancid,Testament, AFI, and Papa Roach.
For other noticeable strong engineering contribution was mastering by Howie Weinberg who worked on seminal albums by some of the world's most influential bands, including U2, Modest Mouse, Muse, Spoon, Nirvana, The Clash, The Beastie Boys, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, PJ Harvey, and many more. Howie has mastered more than 200 gold or platinum records and has won 3 TEC awards.

I was wondering time has not been passed no so fast but it has been already 10 years since Insolence released their first album "Revolution."During 10 years, band members have been changed and the record label has been changed. However Insolence has turned those situation into establishing their own music style and created their latest record "Project Konflict." I have to say that this turned out to be the best album of Insolence. Their reggae, dub, rap inflenced heavy mixture rock sound became richer and even more creative. You must see their live shows and feel their music!

Hiroshima is the first time for Insolence to play a show. Insolence visited Hiroshima A-Bomb Museum and met Steven Leeper who is a chairman of the Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation, managing A-Bomb museum and other peace activities. Mr. Leeper was quite busy meeting with the Hiroshima mayor preparing for the Novel Peace Award Receiver's summit. Mr. Leeper explains how difficult to reduce nuclear weapon due to complex political and business concessions and how media may filter out the fact of the war. He expressed that the "champion" approach is directly reaching people such as Insolence's activities delivering the peace message through the live shows to young people.
Insolence had a great live show in Hiroshima. Playing "Beats Not Bombs" was something very special to play in Hirosima.

While moving to Tokyo by Shinkansen (Bullet Train) by accident half of the Insolence guys got off at the wrong (right?) station and we got seperated and bad thing happened at the same time, cellphone battery run out and lost in contact with each other. But both group figured the way to reunion in Tokuo.
This is the third show of Gekirock festival. Tokyo show was sold out and the venue has been packed so much. Basically people could not move at all, not even being able to reach the bar counter. Hot and humid. We had great guest bands today, Rottengraffty and PTP.

INSOLENCE EMBARKS ON TOUR SUPPORTING gBEATS NOT BOMBSh RELEASE
Insolence Touring in Support of gBeats Not Bombsh with Japanese Superstar Band in November
Insolence will release a double-disc set (1 CD and 1 DVD). CD includes a song, gBeats Not Bombs,h which was in collaboration with Takuma from ultra successful Japanese band, 10-Feet, and a song, gYoga Fuego.h DVD includes Insolence's 2008 documentary tour video in Japan, featuring exclusive interviews and footage of the band.
gBeats Not Bombsh will be released in Japan on December 10, 2008, and available via iTunes to American fans. Select Internet stores will also have the imported release for sale.
In support of the gBeats Not Bombsh release, Insolence will perform alongside fellow bands, 10-Feet, and energetic, L.A. based punk band, Pour Habit, in November:
Fri., Nov. 7 - Voodoo Lounge, San Jose, CA
Sat., Nov. 8 - Universal Bar & Grill, North Hollywood, CA
Mon., Nov. 10 - Dream Street Live, San Diego, CA
gBeats Not Bombsh was materialized from an inspiration of peace, as described in the following excerpt from the release's liner note in the words of vocalist, Mark Herman:
gBeats Not Bombsh was inspired by our visit to the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum while Mecha and I were on our Japanese PR tour, which is where we also came up with this album's concept. There was a man at the Nagasaki Peace Museum who inspired Billy and I by saying, gPeace is easy?just don't fight.h It was a moving experience to hear that, and with the state of the world as it was, we thought we should say something with purpose.
The concept of the album is to spread the word to the youth that we need to find peace and understanding in order to secure a safer future for generations to come. gBeats Not Bombsh is a song about making a conscious decision and statement to end fighting, and learning from the mistakes of our forefathers.

FROM RAGS TO RICHES AND BACK TO RAGS, INSOLENCE IS SACRIFICING EVERYTHING TO REACH FOR THE STARS, AGAIN.
Hear how they rose above the industry in a struggle to survive, and are achieving the All-American Dream, the second time around.
San Jose, CA (January 3, 2008) Insolence refused to be a one hit wonder. In fact, they also refused to change their music when Warner Brothers told them to. They rebelled against the music industry, stood strong, and are afloat enough to talk about it.
Aside from the battles with drugs, the ongoing changing of band members and constant family strains, as is expected to exist within any rock band, Insolence has never stopped, and has never been stopped.
They've helped shape the Bay Area's music scene. They've been on movie soundtracks and in movies. They've played around the world and back again.
They've toured with System of a Down and Incubus, enough said. They've had songs on video games and television shows.
They've beaten Linkin Park and Korn on Japan 's version of the Billboard Charts just this past summer. They've broken stereotypes, broken genres and broken rules. And they're back to conquer the industry again on U.S. soil.
Now, twelve years, two major labels, 200,000 sold records, and a bazillion band members later, Insolence is about to venture on a month-long, nationwide tour with Suburban Noize Records' Billboard Chart-ers, Hed P.E., Kingspade (of Kottonmouth Kings), and Subnoize Souljaz beginning January 24, 2008. Following their expansive U.S. tour celebrating the release of their seventh album, gAudio War,h on February 19, 2008, Insolence will venture off to Japan for a tour from March 9, 2008 to March 19, 2008 that will surely delight . Japanese fans who have had the luxury of having gAudio Warh since its special release in Japan in August, 2007.
Looking very forward to getting reacquainted with American and Japanese fans, Insolence is happy to tell their story to anyone who dares to ask. They will be available for interviews and press while on tour, from January 24, 2008 to February 25, 2008 in the United States , and from March 9, 2008 to March 19, 2008 in Japan.
Concert-goers can find tour dates and details on the band's website, www.insolence1.com and on their Myspace page, www.myspace.com/insolenceone.

September 12, 2007 INSOLENCE TO RELEASE "MAKE BEATS, NOT BOMBS" PEACE PROJECT
San Jose, CA - Insolence, one of the California Bay Area's leading rock bands, will release a multi-artist compilation vinyl project in January, 2008, titled gMaking Beats, Not Bombs.h This release will promote anti-war, world peace strategies through the non-violent channel of music.
Recently, while on a nationwide Japanese PR tour, Insolence visited and decided to donate all of the proceeds from "Make Beats, Not Bombs" to the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum and the Nagasaki City Peace Promotion Office to support world peace and cultural and racial equality and tolerance. Both the museum and office have graciously offered their support for the project.
(from left, Mark Herman, Insolence, Mr. Ideta, Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum Director, Mr. Nakamura, Nagasaki City Peace Promotion Office, Mecha1, Insolence.)
Insolence intends on releasing "Making Beats, Not Bombs" as a vinyl project to stay true to their grassroots ways, making it more feasible for Japanese disk jockeys to rotate the album at clubs, which is signature of Insolence's underground styles.
Nagasaki-born famous rock club disk jockey, DJ OG, will participate in the project by donating a remixed Insolence track to the release, which will be played by hundreds of disk jockeys in many clubs throughout Japan . Insolence is currently communicating with well-known U.S. bands and artists to also donate a song to the peace project.
